Its all go!

Two weeks ago we were milking  6 cows – today we are milking over 80 and we have put milk in the vat today.  Yay!

It’s been a busy week and a half my, body is aching,  I’m normally  in bed by around 8.30 but tonight I want to watch the new season of Deadliest Catch so hopefully I won’t fall asleep.

I had a great couple of days in HB with family.  I got a text from a friend from Masterton to say they were on their way to Napier and what were we up to – Hello – we are in HN maybe we could meet up so that was a good bonus to catch up with Tina.  On the Saturday night we had a family dinner at mums with my sisters, husbands, partners and kids.  What a great night – haven’t had a family night like that in a looooonnnnnng time.  Jessi hunted out some scrapbooking books that I had done with the neices around 6 years ago – lots of stickers and all in their own writing – what a treat, everyone loved looking throu them and it reminded me WHY I  scrapbook.  Even thou I am struggling for anytime to do anything other than cows, food for hungry mouths and a tensy bit of housework.  Today I managed to mop the kitchen floor and fold a mountain of washing.

My day at the moment consists of getting up, milking the cows, collecting calves, home for brekky/lunch, prepare dinner, milk the cows and home again to feed the hungry mouths lol.  Ahhhh but its all good.  Would just like to find a little time to do some scrapping and surfing the net lol I guess that equates to time to myself.   Phil is busy but is enjoying it all.  He and the boys have gone out for a possum shoot tonight.

I did manage to get into Whakatane on Monday to catch up with Heather who was in town for a couple of days.  Was lovely to sit and have a coffee with her – we would have been having our yearly journey to SENZ this weekend – but it wasn’t to be this year.

Hope all is well with everyone out there.

  • So glad you blogged, I checked in on you last night and saw you hadn’t posted in a while.

You are sounding really busy !!!

I am working away on the Pay it forward stuff. School hols has meant loads of kids around, so not much happening here for me.

When I went to Australia last year, I met a guy who works for Conservation. He couldn’t believe we kill possums. Over there, they are endangered !!!

  • Yep all is well here. LOL. You sure are busy with all those mouths to feed.
