The week that was…

so it’s been a good week.

Rebecca went to snow camp on Tuesday

Yes that’s her in the fluro green…lol…I picked the wet weather gear up for $17 and she was not so happy that it was so bright but at least we can see her in the pictures!

She had a great time and in response to a question asked by Phil’s cousin Raewyn on Facebook she said this about camp

hahaha it was so fun i had a great time and miss my family sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much i got the hang of it really fast on happy valley and the next day we went to hutt flat and i had my lesson and we skied with out poles and that was easy i finally got the hang of going down the hill parallel and turing parallel instead of in pizza i was awesome

By the look of the photos she has taken they all look like they had a great time.

We have one cow left to calve and mating starts today.

Yesterday we put on the Kamars and I was there to take pictures as well as help!

And for those that are not farmy people we put these on and when another cow rides the cow it breaks the pod inside and turns red so that we can tell if the cow is in heat and ready to be AI’d.

I got another two layouts done.

These are for Scrapook Dreams Challenge and my friend Vicki was guest designer this month.  Check out Vicki’s blog her work is amazing!

First Challenge was a sketch challenge.

and then the next challenge was something NEW

I did it about my new friends I made at Scrapbook Dreams Retreat

Callum and his mate have gone off to feed meal to the calves, Phil has gone to take James and Pania to Tauranga so I might try to get some jobs done while they are out and about.

Thanks for visiting!

  3. Well firstly, looks like Rebecca had perfect weather for skiing and it sounds like she has got skiing skillz! LOL (btw – better to wear bright clothes on the snow so you are well seen).
Secondly – I am not sure if I really wanted to know what Heat Mounts are for cuz, cows have no privacy do they???? LOL

  4. Awesome layouts Nicki. And for not a “farmy” person theres about a million and one things I could say about that poor cow left to calve and then get mated again – shes a bit slow on it!!! LOL
